A little bit of news

The low down on us is that we are going to have a baby.....it is the craziest thing to every happen to us. Even more crazy then when where asked if we wanted Alexis to be our little girl. We have prayed and prayed for this and trusted that it would happen when it was time. We really honestly thought that we would need doctor intervention to get here. I guess in a way we did with Britt having surgery in January. He was told 3-4 months and then things should be working good. Well 5 months later we know that things are working! It is truly a miracle.

So when we told Alexis today that a baby is on the way. We told her it was in mommy's tummy and was growing, but it will take awhile. She told us that she has a baby in her tummy too. She wanted to see the baby and then "snuggled" my tummy (those where her words). It is very sweet. We are over the moon seeing as how our 10 year anniversary is November 20th. Why did it take nearly 10 years, only the Lord knows but we are so grateful. We are better people for having a 10 year wait imposed upon us. Better parents and appreciate this opportunity more then we would have had we not had to struggle. I am 5 weeks 2 days and will be impatiently waiting until June 14th or around there to see our little baby. Alexis is a big sister to be, finally! She will be almost 4 and will be such a huge helper and probably drive us crazy with wanting to hold her new baby brother or sister. Britt thinks we are having twins and Alexis goes along with it like it is normal. I however think(and hope)that it is only 1.

Amazing! I always love these stories. We also had problems conceiving and still do. I have to agree...when you have had to face the possibility of not being able to have children, you do appreciate it so much more when it does happen. Congratulations to you!
