Day 9

July 30th
We are on our own today, the only day of our whole vacation that we were by ourselves and did whatever we wanted. We went to the Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy. Alexis loves fish except doesn't want to touch them. They have a sting ray tank that you can touch them and she wanted nothing to do with it, especially when they flap their sides out of the water and stick their noses out. I thought that was cool. When we got done with that she asked to go to see the animals. So we did. Hogle Zoo was my zoo as a kid so I had fun going back there with my kid. The lion drinking fountain is still there. We rode the train and the carousel. After the zoo we went to Temple Square. Alexis asked if she could go in and so I explained how you have to be big and doing what Heavenly Father asks to go in. She is really excited about getting big enough to go in. We ate at the Lion house Pantry for dinner and had sarsaparilla soda. We had such a good day and busy. When we got back to Tammy's Alex read Alexis stories and they played.
She just won't look at me for pictures right now.

She took her hair out on the way here.

This elephant makes noises and plays music, it just comes on and it scared her.
Love this drinking fountain.

Parana
I think clown fish will forever be known as Nemo fish.

Emmett

Four bears and a very cute baby!

day 8

July 29th
Today I got up and got us packed really early so that I could go outside with the kids during piano lessons. We jumped on the trampoline and ate a snack. After lessons we went to Yellowstone's Bear World. It is a drive through animal park with deer, elk, moose, buffalo and of course bears. It was really crazy to have bears walking around right next to our car. We told the kids to tell us if a bear tried to climb on the car. After exiting the animal area there are rides and baby bears to look at and a petting zoo. The kids loved the rides and ran back and forth as many times as they could. The petting area had deer, pigs and chickens. I really can't believe they were petting baby deer. When we got back we said our goodbyes and hit the road for Utah. Alexis fell asleep almost immediatly and slept for 2 hours before I stopped at Mcdonald's to wake her up. We got to my cousin Tammy's house about 9 pm and Alexis and Alex became best friends. He let her play with his toys and was so sweet to her. They had to go to bed though shortly after getting there because school was on track for them. Alexis loved Tammy's house because well her house makes ours look like a tool shed! Surprisingly Alexis went to sleep about 10:30.

Day 7

July 28th
Palisades Lake, boat and candy! uncle Brett and Aunt Nini have an awesome boat and they took us out on it. I have never knee boarded before and got up on my first try. i almost did a 360, but had to let go of the rope because Leslie crashed. It was so much fun. It secretly makes me want to get a boat.....but I will never tell Britt that! LOL. Alexis was afraid of the water because she saw fish swiming on the shore and dock. But the lure was just to great and she finally swam off the back of the boat. It was a great day and Aunt Nini brought lots of treats for the kids. When we got back we went to Tillie and Gabe's soccer game which Travis coaches. It was great fun today!

On our way we stopped for square ice cream cones! We washed the kids up in the water! All the kids got bubble gum flavor.
Alexis, Jack and Weston all took a nap on the boat!

Day 5 & 6

July 26
Church! We had to be there early so that Leslie could play the organ. So when we pulled up she ran in the buidling and travis and were going to bring in the kids. My phone rang so I answered it. After the call that lasted several minutes I was wondering why Travis was still in the car. The child lock was on(Jack opened the door on our way to Driggs so we pulled over and put the child lock on)! It was kind of funny. After church we had a yummy dinner and the kids played with the horses.

July 27
Today we took the kids to the splash park in Rexburg. The weather was overcast so it was a bit cold, but the kids had fun anyway. In the evening we went over to Travis's parents house and had hamburgers and roasted smores and starbursts. The kids had so much fun running around and eating candy.

Day 4

July 25th
Today we loaded the kids up and headed to Driggs to see Uncle Brett and Aunt Nini. It was interesting driving there with 5 impatient kids but we made it. When we got there Uncle Brett and Sadie were getting Chef all harnessed up to the buggy. Chef is like 35 years old, which is very old for a horse. As soon as he was hooked up Sadie gave them a ride, Alexis loved it, even with her fear of horses. We then headed to where the 24th of July parade was being held and the kids all got to ride on the wagon. Alexis had so much fun throwing the candy 1 piece at a time~ she even had half a bag left. Leslie, Weston and I went to the park to watch the parade and take pictures of the kids. They were so cute and didn't really notice us, they were having so much fun. The stake there provided a chicken dinner in the park. Leslie and I are super moms and got all the kids, Sadie, Uncle Brett and our own plates in just 1 trip! After the kids played and played and ate, we went to a concert. Jon Schmidt was awesome. Alexis really liked when he laid down, playing the piano and bouncing his foot to the beat in the air! She still talks about it, even though she fell asleep half way through....which was better for me! We went back to Uncle Brett and Aunt Nini's for a snack and then home. On the way we stopped at Kyle and Angela's, this was my first time meeting them both due to missions and just getting married. Angela is great, wish I had more time to chat and get to know her. I do know how to make her egg rolls though, yummo! We got the kids home asleep and in bed, what a fun day!
They were sitting in the buggy while the horse was hooked to it, they are mesmerized!
Doesn't Sadie look like she is having the time of her life, LOL!
Before the parade started, they are all so cute! Gabe, Jack, Alexis and Tillie!
Look at the candy bags, Jack's is empty and Alexis still has it mostly full. Don't know why she was throwing it so slow.

Yummy watermelon!During the concert we had a fantastic storm! When we came out I just loved seeing the sun peaking through the clouds.
