Swim

I think she is like me in way to many ways! I hate grass in the pool too! Now if we can get more weather like this I will be happy!

Our Action Packed Weekend (a week ago)

We had a very fun weekend. Saturday my Mom and Alexis went to the Puyallup Spring Fair. We meet Jenn and Ashlee and her mom and sister there. We saw all the animals and did the fun kids crafts. Alexis touched a turtle and a snake, but would not touch the Bearded Dragons. We then went and rented Bedtime Stories and got Applebee's carside and came home to eat. It was a cute movie. Grandma then read Alexis a few stories and sang her some songs before she went to sleep.

Sunday we went out to Britt's brothers house in Eygpt, I mean Ollala(?). We played some outside games and then went to the beach. Joemma Beach State Park. It is rocky, but great. Alexis loved throwing rocks and diggin in the sand. She was running in the surf and we got a good action sequence of her falling! She had such a blast and didn't want to leave. We then went back to Collin and Damita's house for hamburgers. It was a great day spent with family. It was so warm and the water felt great.

If you could blow this up you would see that both feet are in the air.
I post this one because Alexis really doesn't like to be dirty, but today she was digging in the sand and it was all over her.For some reason she would not step on the crack. She walked really slowly and only made it half way and turned around.

Monday Alexis and I went to the park and on a walk with Ashlee and Jenn. We had Subway for lunch and got a bit sun burned. Grandpa came to the park for a bit too. I bought a little pool and Alexis had fun playing in the water. I will post these pictures later!

She played in the pool on Tuesday with Ashlee and Evana. Evana wouldn't get near the pool though. We set the slide up so that they could slide into the pool, oh the fun they had with that. Otter pops, capri suns, graham crackers and a pool = fun, fun and more fun! I can't wait for endless days of sun and swimming!

Happy Birthday only a week late!

Britt had his happy birthday on the 6th. He is now really old, 33, lol. He said he didn't want a party but did want an ice cream cake. So I went and bought the stuff and a few things for a barbecue. After I got home he asked if I would invite a few friends over. So I did and went back to the store and got more food. He got home a bit later then he wanted so all the food was ready and we were starving when he arrived so he skipped the shower until after. Alexis loves singing happy birthday and blowing out candles. We had to light them twice and she still beat him to blowing them out. The kids all played hard and got their first dirty feet of the spring, something Alexis was not very happy about.

Britt is a very kind and generous guy. If you ask him for help he will be there, even if he already has plans. He loves us very much and works so hard for us. I love him and so does Alexis. He has blessed my life beyond words and I am grateful that he is my eternal companion! I luvba you daddy (Alexis)! Sorry this Birthday post is so late.

Easter pictures

This the best one we got. Alexis has decided that she must say cheese when her picture is taken, only she says it over and over until we take it. So all her pictures have a silly expression because she isn't smiling.

Waiting for picture time.
So happy!
The only one where she is being a goof. Love how her hair bows are falling out, she was playing in the pillows on the couch.

Hunting for Eggs!

The all important Easter Egg hunts were held today. We went to the community center here by our house and Alexis got a golden egg so she got a prize. She choose a puzzle(ok I picked it)! She filled her basket and then ran over to me to dump it in a sack and then ran back out for more. After her area was clean she ran to the next age group to collect more. Luckily they had done a good clean up job and so she didn't get any more. We also did an egg hunt with Sam and Ben in our yard. They got so much candy from Grandma and Aunt Steph that I doubt the Easter bunny will leave candy in her basket. Fun times!Look at this Bunny! LOL totally cracks me up! At least the kids weren't afraid.

Alexis has been cracking me up lately. I told her I was going to fix lunch and she said "are you kidding me" three times. I just laughed. I ask her if she is a bug, potato, pumpkin, cat or anything else and she says "no I not a ________, I'm Alexis." It is really funny. Especially that she uses a full sentence to answer when most kids would just say no.

"Do not spend money on things of no worth or that which your labors will not satisfy."

This will be my new goal. That is what my goal is going to be for the next week. I say week because I seriously would forget if i made it any longer.

a bit of catch up

So I was thinking of heading to bed early and then I thought hmmm why not update the blog. I have not done a post in awhile so here it is!She has been doing really well with going to sleep without me sitting by her, I have to leave the light on and the door open though. She will look at books and we found her this way one night. Notice the baby...she loves this baby the most, and when I ask her who gave it to her she says grandma Shirley. It is very cute.Mickey Mouse pancakes. She thought this was so funny!Alexis, Ashlee and Evana having snack at the new table for the first time togetherThe dress Alexis is wearing is her favorite thing right now. It came with a matching baby doll dress and she asks to wear it everyday. She insisted on getting it when we where buying her a new dress. So when we got home and Evana came over she wanted Evana to wear a dress too. Now they both have to where a dress or jamas when Evana comes to play.Poor thing was just worn out and fell asleep while eating her soup. I have it on video too, so funny! We got her a new baby bed and changing table. The other bed kept falling apart. She is expertly changing her baby here! This was at the parade today. Not my most favorite of me, but ohwell. Alexis clapped, waved and said hi to just about everyone who went by. She got a bit scared with the cannons and would cover her ears when a big truck would drive by, I guess she thought they all had cannons. She had fun and that makes it worth it. It was a fabulous day today, sunny and 60! I was going to blog about my very exciting 31st birthday but my sister has the pictures for that. Stay tuned for Britt's even more exciting 33rd birthday on Monday. He wants an Ice Cream cake, but no party. I should invite all his friends and surprise him! He has a new/old job! KT transport was just not paying the bills and he heard that Selland(his old company) was hiring a local driver and that frieght is really good right now. They hired him on as a company driver. KT told him that he has a job still with them if he wants it and when things are slow give them a call. We are happy about that. Down fall is now we have to wait until August to get insurance. Still trying to decide what to do. If he can make enough we will keep paying for ours out of pocket, if not then we will pay for just Alexis. We are thankful that Sellands frieght isn't GM and Chryslter(sorry Dave). I am going to take lot's more pictures this month, I think I only took like 15 for March. Easter Egg Hunts and hopefully better weather will help with the picture crisis! I just have to go random real quick and tell you the daffodiles from the parade smell amazing, I put them in my Crystal vase that I got for Christmas.

Ok well going to go to bed early tonight. Alexis woke up at 2:30am and didn't go back to sleep until 5. If only she was still in a crib, but she isn't and she opens doors. She doesn't cry when she wakes up though; she just comes and gets into bed with us. I can't sleep with 3 in the bed, so I take her back into her room and try to get her to go back to sleep; anyways it is a process sometimes.

We got her an indoor trampoline. She bit her tongue pretty deep and so now she uses that as an excuse for everything. If she is in time out, her tongue hurts. Time for bed, her tongue hurts. So that was her thing at 3am this morning....grrrrr.... she cries I need medicine. It is hard for me to say no just go to sleep because she does have a cut on her tongue and well it probably does hurt. So then she needs to be held and well I am just a sucker. I know she is playing me, but I want to go back to sleep so I will do whatever it takes to get her there the fastest! Ok so that is the end of this post, night!

Mamalicious Monday

Today Alexis got new rain boots. I hope we get a rain day soon so we can go walk in it and splash in the puddles. While driving to the store we got stopped at a red light. I waved my fingers at it saying green, green ,green and then I said "turn green now," of course it did and Alexis got really excited and started clapping. She Exclaimed with fists in the air "You did it Mom!" She was very happy. I just couldn't help but to laugh! Love this kid! Check out this site for a contest that ends today!

So Saturday Christina and I went and hid the clues and their little treats. It took us 1 hour and 30 minutes. We sent the guys out and then hid 2 more clues. We went to Ikea and got some cute things for Alexis and Ella's rooms. We waited forever for them at the restaurant. It took them 3 hours to finish and we finally got to eat at almost 10pm. We really enjoyed getting to know the Goff's better and love having them as friends! Thanks for inviting us.

Alexis's new toy

We did so good at avoiding the throw up bug that was going around. We haven't done so good with the cold bug. Alexis is snotty and coughing. She at least slept all night long. I bought Hyland's Calms Forte from Fred Meyer. It is just supposed to help her relax and calm down, it is not a sleep drug. So far it has work the first night...maybe just a fluke though. Alexis got a pop up tent and 100 balls to go inside Yesterday. We took it to mom and me lunch to share, although Alexis was so tired and cranky that she didn't want anyone in it even if she was doing something else. After her nap she shared just fine with Evana. So I rearranged her room so that she could play with it when ever. She loves it. I will take a picture later. This was what she got with our income tax return! Lucky girl, I would have loved to have had a tent to play in. All we had were milk crates we stacked up in circle! It worked great for playing pioneers though, lol. Good times.

Catch phrase

Alexis has caught on to the hip way to say no:

No Way

It is pretty cute, at least way more cute then just no!

This way mom

She tells me which way we should go while driving or walking in the store.

I be right back

Says this when ever she leaves the room.

She honestly is giving me glimpses into the future of life with a teenager. It is scary. She is very bossy to her friends and has to be reminded to share her toys. She tells her friends

Don't touch it

At least I know she hears me when I tell her that. Haha caught her! She actually sat in the stroller for the entire 2 mile walk today. Usually she climbs out or if I buckle her she screams and slides down until her feet are dragging and I give up and let her out. That then slows us down so we might as well have stayed home. Anyways we went to the trail today and it must have been changing enough or the howling, freezing cold wind paralyzed her! It was so cold, I wish the wind would have been blowing on our way out because we would have turned around. I didn't wear a jacket just a long sleeve shirt (big mistake, it took me 3 hours to get warm again!) Well I need to crash, I am roasting 30 lbs of red potatoes tomorrow for the big Relief Society dinner! Fun, fun for me and I am babysitting 3 kids from 2-6!

New Table

So maybe this picture doesn't do it justice, but this is our new dining room table. It is perfect for our little area. I love it, Britt hates is oh well. I have no clue why the text is underlined like that but who cares. This table is solid oak, and is really pretty. Can't wait to eat our first meal on it.

New sleeping attire

Last night Alexis had an interrupted sleep due to daylight savings. She didn't want go back to sleep so I told her she could play in her room, but she could not come out. I got her a snack and a cup of water(it had been about 5 hours since dinner). I laid down in her bed and she played and spilled water on her pj's so of course had to change them. I didn't see what she put on and so when she got up this morning this what she was wearing. Silly girl. She is sad because Little Mermaid shirt doesn't play music anymore.

It snowing again. We have a few inches and it is still coming. It is supposed to stop later today. Well I guess March is not going to let spring slip in to early. I just really want warm weather. I may be whining but here in Washington we like our mild weather and the occasional snow flurry is fun and exciting. We have had snow seriously every week this winter. We better have a nice summer.

Post-op update

Alexis is such a crack up lately. Especially now that she is talking better. We had high hopes of the surgery helping her, but it has exceeded our expectations. She says things so clear now and is using 6 word sentences. It is great to be able to have conversations with her. She has been playing the help me card a lot. She will lay on the floor reach her hand out and say "helpa me" it is really funny because she can't ever reach me so she says "I can't reach your hand." She then stands up and grabs my hand and says "I got your hand." Before her surgery she would jabber and then get bored with playing because I didn't respond the way she wanted. Well I usually had no clue what she was doing. I can tell her to talk quietly and she does now. The biggest change is Britt can understand her. He would always need translation from me and now he doesn't. She hears snippets of what people say at the store and repeats them, not always the best thing. I hope preschool is better for her now. She has learned triangles, squares and circles and she knows what A is. Love seeing her progress and interact, she is so smart and now she can really show it. Life just gets better and better.

New doll house, she dressed herself!

Grandma Shirley gave her this baby after her surgery, she loves it!

I guess she wanted to go with daddy to AZ

It was hailing and she wanted to go catch it.

Fell asleep

More cousin pictures
